Blogpost 5: "The Idea of Christians Regarding YOLO"

"You Only Live Once" this phrase is like a virus that is taking all the minds of the people, mostly in the bad way.  Now let us know what is the say of the church regarding this phrase. Are they supporting it? Or are they against it? The purpose of this blog is to send the readers the message of the church.

The first article i read is titled "Yolo: Yes or No" by Nicky Gangemi in fervr.com. This blog is all about the idea of Christians behind the idea of YOLO. This blog explains that You Only Live Once that's why you should treasure your life. Each of our decisions counts. We should give importance to our life because it is given by our God. The author stated that "God does care about of what we do - and he wants us to live our one life for him." This statement shows that we should be responsible enough in handling different choices and struggles in life. Because each action we make is our response for God's love to us.

The second article I read is titled "Why Christians Should Live a #YOLO Life" by Crystal Brothers in servingjoyfully.com. The author stated that the idea of YOLO today is having sex, drugs, drinking alcohol, "We should be commited to the cause of Christ."  There are ways we should live out this concepts of our lives. And doing other things that can ruin your life. But if you think deeply, the real meaning of this phrase is really good. It is supposed to keep us close to our God. Witnessing -"We have the limited amount of time to share the good news of salvation." Witnessing can be very hard. But, if you only used your time wisely you can make the most out of it. Relationships -We should not waste our time messing up with our love ones. Instead, we should be considerate on their feelings. And always make sure that they can feel your love. Parenting - If you are a parent, you should always think what is the best for your children. You should give him all of their needs. You should also hear their feelings for you to establish understanding and concern for one another. In Our Everyday Actions - Life as we all know is shorter than what we've imagined. That's why we should not waste our time. Instead, we should make our own legacy.

From those articles I learned that Christians is appreciating the phrase YOLO. I'm very happy that they are not just considering this as a small thing that just came out of no where. Now, we are all being reminded of our wrong actions. Because, all of the actions we are making is our payment for the life that is given by God. We all want to have a peaceful life, that's why we should live according to God's will.

Nicky Gangemi stated in his blog post that, "God has given us a life filled with good things to enjoy but it isn't to be delighted in without thinking about the bigger, eternal perspective."

This quotation reminds us that God has give all the things that we need in life, it's in our hands now on how are we going to handle and take care of it. We all know that God loves us so much that he let his only son die just to save us from our sins. We should always think of that whenever we are going to make a decision so that it would lead us to the right path.
